Nonwoven Textile Manufacturing - The Smith Family
The Smith Family Nonwoven Manufacturing Plant is located in Villawood New South Wales and has been producing nonwoven fabrics since 1987. The plant combines a variation of processes such as carding, needle-punching and thermal bonding to manufacture a wide range of fabrics and felt.
In production we use both imported virgin fibres such as polyester, polypropylene and viscose rayon and regenerated (recycled) fibres such as acrylic, wool and polyester cotton. These are recycled back to fibre form from textile industry fabric clippings.
Products
The Smith Family produces a variety of products in order to service the specific needs of our key customers and markets.
We manufacture products for sale under our customers brands such as the 'Jif' cloth for Unilever and 'Airstep' carpet underlay for Bridgestone. The Smith Family Commercial Enterprise has also developed a unique brand of commercial and industrial wipes in the Vistex and Econo cloth range.
The Smith Family Commercial Enterprise can develop and tailor market offers to meet specific commercial, technical and logistical needs.
We are pleased to announce our latest product initiative, the launch of the new Blue Sky range of polyester insulation.
We continue to manufacture a wide range of products for a wide range of industries. For example:
- Carpet Underlays and commercial wall and ceiling insulation
- Dust, air and liquid Filtration products
- Soil and water erosion prevention felts as well as ground covers
- Furniture removal and storage products
- Cleaning cloths for the hospitality and healthcare industries
