In the last year our work reached more than 106,000 disadvantaged children and their families in 97 communities across Australia, thanks to the support of caring Australians.
The Smith Family relies on support from generous donors and sponsors for the majority of our income. In 2011-12, less than a quarter of our funding came from government investment. Our Recycling Operation also generates profits that contribute to offset our administration costs.
Fundraising efficiency
Last year $0.83 of every $1 we raised from fundraising was spent directly on the disadvantaged children and young people we support through our community programs.
