The nature of the work The Smith Family undertakes in the community and the engagement of our volunteers requires strict adherence to legislative requirements, but also an irrevocable commitment to ensuring the protection and safety of our clients, supporters and sponsors. The Smith Family has an obligation to request volunteers undergo appropriate screening prior to commencing if deemed necessary as part of their volunteer role. This screening may be comprised of police records checks and child work safety checks as required by legislation and The Smith Family policies.
