The Smith Family is a national, independent children’s charity helping disadvantaged Australians to get the most out of their education, so they can create better futures for themselves. We are now seeking a BI Developer to join our growing team.

Reporting to the Data Platform Manager and working with a dedicated and passionate team, this pivotal role is responsible for the design and implementation of data analytics solutions and associated data governance, contributing to The Smith Family’s vision.

A day in the life of our BI Developer might look like this, but every day can be different. Primarily, you will be responsible for:

Design and development of Data Platform components including; Dashboards; Data Extracts; Data Solutions; and Integration components.
Business as usual support for the Data Platform products with end users including technical training and troubleshooting
Continual involvement with End Users to understand their business processes and requirements 

It takes a special kind of person to be our BI Developer. Our successful candidate will bring the following:

Tertiary Qualification in ICT
Minimum 3 years’ experience in data/analytics development in Microsoft technologies (SQL server 2016, SSAS, SSIS, PowerBI) 
SSAS Tabular
PowerBI (or equivalent)
Data Modelling
SQL coding, stores procedures
