Learning Club Tutors

Want to make a direct difference in your community, helping children learn after school? Applications are open for Learning Club Tutors.

Are you looking for an opportunity to tutor or mentor kids after school? To provide a safe and supportive out–of–school learning environment where primary or secondary students can participate in activities that develop their academic skills?

Every Learning Club is unique with a different set of kids and we're always on the look out for those with the heart to come along and help.

Clubs usually run in terms two and three each year, and children attend once or twice a week at no cost.

  • If you want to apply to volunteer but you are going on extended holidays or will miss volunteering, please let us know.
  • All applicants must have a working with children check previously completed and renewed annually at their own cost.
  • The cost of volunteer Child Protection Checks is fully subsided by state governments in the ACT, NSW, QLD and VIC. In other states and territories, there is a cost involved in applying for this volunteer check ranging from $11 – $56. Volunteer tutors matched to students in those states and territories are asked to cover this cost, as the check is valid for 3 – 5 years and is transferable, meaning it can be used wherever you might be volunteering in child-related activities e.g. your children’s sporting club, or with other organisations.
