Tell us about school in 2025

The Smith Family are on TV, radio and social media talking about current issues and how they impact children’s education. We do this to raise awareness in the community and to raise funds for the work we do.

We want to understand how your family is managing the cost of school needs this year. To let us know, please complete our annual Pulse survey.

Your answers will help us talk about issues important to you and us in the media.

Click the button below to complete the survey. It only takes 5 minutes!

Thank you for being a part of this important conversation!

What we heard from you

2500 families took the time to share their thoughts in the 2024 survey. To learn about what we heard from you and how this information helped us, visit Annual Pulse Survey.

Building strong connections between home and school

Building a positive relationship with your child’s school can make a big difference in their learning and wellbeing. When parents and schools work together, children feel more supported, confident and ready to learn.

We understand it’s not always easy to reach out — you might be busy, unsure of what to say, or have had past experiences that make it feel hard. But even small steps can help create a strong connection.

Having regular contact with your child’s school is one way to help.

You might want to contact your school to:

  • Ask how your child is doing in class
  • Let the teacher know about changes at home (like moving house or a family illness)
  • Find out how to support learning at home
  • Check in if your child is feeling worried, upset or having trouble with friends.

More tips

Just like The Smith Family, your child’s school wants to work with you. We’re all here to support your child together!
