Privacy consent is when you agree to let someone collect, use, and share your personal information for a specific reason.  

We use your personal information to understand what programs and support you or your child might need now and in the future. 

You can check and update your Privacy Consent in our new Manage My Scholarship section! This is one of the ways we are making it easier for you to complete Scholarship activities online, at a time that works best for you. 

Remember, our friendly Learning for Life Contact Centre team is here to help you if you need support to use My Smith Family.

Being online is a big part of life today. But not everyone feels confident using technology, and that's okay. You are not alone.

We've created simple resources to help you build your skills and confidence. 

Learning digital skills can open new opportunities and help you to:

You don't need to be a tech expert to get started, just be willing to try! Explore the free resources in our Digital Skills Hub.

Unsure about using online resources? Visit your local library. Many libraries offer friendly digital skills workshops, where you can ask questions in a relaxed environment.

Online safety made easy – free webinars

Feeling confident online starts with knowing how to stay safe.  

The eSafety Commissioner is the Australian government’s expert on online safety. They give families simple advice about things like cyberbullying, online games, social media, and protecting kids from harmful content. 

One easy way to learn more is to join a free eSafety webinar. These online sessions help parents stay up to date with new apps, games, and safety tips. 

Upcoming topics include:  

  • How to protect your child from cyberbullying  
  • Using parental controls  
  • Encouraging healthy tech habits  
  • Changes to age rules on social media
