Each child receives two payments a year into your chosen bank account. Payments are made at the start of each school Semester.
These payments are funded by Learning for Life sponsors. Each sponsor wants to help support the education of a young Australian and their family.
The Semester 1 Scholarship payment in January is higher to help cover back-to-school costs.
The Semester 2 Scholarship payment is in June. To receive this payment, you must provide the end of year School Report and help your child complete a Student Profile each year. This is part of our Learning for Life Family Partnership Agreement.
Using Scholarship Payments
You can spend this money on any school-related items.
You can find a list of what you can spend the Scholarship money on in your Welcome Booklet on our Information Hub.
You need to provide documents to receive your Scholarship payments each year. We’ll email you instructions when it’s time to do this.
If your bank account details change, please let us know by updating them in My Smith Family.
The amount of money your child receives is based on their school year level and the time of year. Payments are higher when your child starts Years 11 and 12.
