Get Involved
- Volunteer
  As a VIEW member there are many opportunities to volunteer your time and skills to directly help and support The Smith Family and disadvantaged Australian children and their families.
- Fundraise
  VIEW members raise over $1.1 million annually for The Smith Family and sponsor more than 1,650+ Learning for Life students.
- Raise awareness and advocate
  With more than 300 clubs around Australia involving some 14,000 women from all walks of life, the collective voice of VIEW is an important aspect of the organsation's work.
- Sponsor a disadvantaged student
  Learning for Life sponsorship provides disadvantaged students with financial assistance, emotional support and access to learning and educational programs.
- Partner with VIEW
  VIEW is proud to have a wide range of community partners that support our fundraising efforts and the work of The Smith Family. We would like to thank the following companies for their ongoing support.

VIEW National Convention 2027

Convention Events

For 2027, we are pleased to announce that all Convention events will be held across two venues in the same location. Nyaal Banyul Convention and Event Centre and the attached Crowne Plaza Hotel. We have combined the two smaller social dinners into one big celebration and convention veterans can look forward to a stunning night of elegance and entertainment from our Saturday night Gala dinner.

National Convention kicks off with our first day of presentations to celebrate VIEW Club's unique achievements!

Hear from The Smith Family with a special panel featuring executives and team members from The Smith Family as well as alumni from the Learning for Life program as they discuss the work and impact of The Smith Family and how they benefit from the support of VIEW.
Be inspired by exceptional Australians as we gather the best and brightest of the local area to speak about their life, journey and accomplishments. (Details of speakers to be announced in 2027).
Celebrate all things VIEW with the presentation of the George Forbes award, National President's Award and the VIEW National Presidents address covering the highlights of our organisation over the past two years.

Friday Night Social Dinner | The Love Boat

All aboard the Love Boat! Join us for an evening of great food, even better company, and smooth sailing. Come back for day two to be inspired and awed as VIEW members come together to have their voices heard and explore shared interests.

The Voice of VIEW national resolutions debate where members from all over the country will make their voices heard and have their say on the key issues for VIEW to focus our advocacy over the next two years.
George Forbes Oration our keynote speaker for the conference, details to be announced in 2027!
Writers' Festival is back again featuring a diverse cast of local authors engaging in a panel discussion. A local Geelong bookseller will be available for your to buy your favourites and each of our authors will be around after the panel to sign your copy!
Announcements be the first to find out who the VIEW National Executive for 2028/29 will be, where National Convention 2029 is going to be held and which of our resolutions won the most votes!

Saturday Night Gala Dinner | Night Under the Southern Stars

From the outback to the stars, we're celebrating Under the Southern Skies! Enjoy an elegant evening of exceptional food, fantastic company, and outstanding live entertainment inspired by the colours, landscapes, and spirit of the Australian night sky. Dress in midnight blues, native-inspired prints, celestial sparkles, metallic accents, or elegant evening wear inspired by the stars above.

Gala is the shining star of every VIEW National Convention and this year is no exception!

Thursday Night | National President's Dinner

Thursday 2 September 2027 | 7pm - 10pm | $110

Crowne Plaza Geelong

Open only to past and present National Executive, National Councillors and Zone Councillors, or by invitation.

An intimate and sophisticated dinner for VIEW leaders of the past and present to connect and catch up with friends and fellow senior officers. Join VIEW National President 2026/27 Lorraine Thomson for a drink on arrival followed by an elegant dinner and conversation with friends.

Community Walk with VIEW

Sunday 5 September 2027 | 7pm - 10pm
Meet at Nyaal Banyul main entrance

Join us for the final event of VIEW National Convention 2027 as we are guided by members of local Geelong VIEW clubs along the pristine foreshore of curio bay. Along the way we will see the famous Baywalk Bollards, commissioned in the 1980's to repurpose old timbers from a city pier and the beautifully restored steam-driven hand-carved wooden Carousel built in 1892.

Details of the route will be available in 2027.
