Get Involved
- Volunteer
  As a VIEW member there are many opportunities to volunteer your time and skills to directly help and support The Smith Family and disadvantaged Australian children and their families.
- Fundraise
  VIEW members raise over $1.1 million annually for The Smith Family and sponsor more than 1,650+ Learning for Life students.
- Raise awareness and advocate
  With more than 300 clubs around Australia involving some 14,000 women from all walks of life, the collective voice of VIEW is an important aspect of the organsation's work.
- Sponsor a disadvantaged student
  Learning for Life sponsorship provides disadvantaged students with financial assistance, emotional support and access to learning and educational programs.
- Partner with VIEW
  VIEW is proud to have a wide range of community partners that support our fundraising efforts and the work of The Smith Family. We would like to thank the following companies for their ongoing support.

About

Burleigh-Palm Beach VIEW Club was formed in 1993.

Currently, the Club sponsors five Smith Family Learning for Life students and is actively involved in fundraising activities to raise donations for The Smith Family programs.

We are always open to new members, so please get in touch today and come and see what it's all about.

When: Meeting Day on 3rd Tuesday each month
Time: At 10.30am for 11.00am
Where: Treetops Tavern
: As well as our monthly meetings, we have friendship outings each month and these include morning teas or lunches, and special events such as High Teas and Fashion Parades.

VIEW Clubs Walk for Anti-poverty August 2026

On Monday 24th August 2026, about 34 members from QC01 VIEW Clubs gathered at the Gold Coast Botanic Gardens for the Walk for Anti-poverty. Members found private sponsors for the kilometres they walked.

The enthusiastic new committee from Burleigh Palm Beach VIEW took on the organizational leadership for this annual event. The committee provided the necessary publicity information, collated club registration forms and ensured that on the day the VIEW banner was strategically displayed for promotion purposes.

Along the various walk paths, Burleigh Palm Beach committee members hosted general chit chat to ensure that members with varying abilities were introduced and connected with other “new” and “old” VIEW friends. In addition, they provided a super nutritious and delicious morning tea for the returning walkers.

The event enabled each club a fundraising opportunity for their Learning For Life students as well as enjoy each other’s company in peaceful natural surroundings. A great day was had by all.

April 2026 Meeting

Zone Councillor Dianne S congratulated Marion P (2026 new President) and Anita R (2026 new Vice President) for nominating for the respective club leadership positions and presented both with a badge of office. Members were happy that the club committee vacancies were now filled. A new Member Margaret W was also presented with her badge and VIEW welcome pack.

The general meeting was opened by President Marion, and respective office bearers gave their reports. Members were amused /enthused by an invitation from A Camel Farm but as the venue was on the Sunshine Coast the club did not follow up on the tour. Members received the NPP with interest. The National Overview data slide drew positive acknowledgement particularly the reference to the number of clubs sponsoring over 10+students. A sample from the National TEAMS video also quickly played to encourage members to register for the next Learning and Development event, and a quick demonstration of how to find the All I Can Be podcast on phones was useful for some. Members are looking forward to their April VIEW magazine and were aware of Real Stories Real Impact and the 2027 VIEW Convention in Geelong.

A delicious luncheon and fashion parade was held on our October Friendship Day with members modelling a range of fashions.

Members and guests celebrated our Club's 32nd birthday with a Sapphire theme.
