Gympie Gold Rush Parade in October 2026

Gold Rush Parade in October 2026

October in Gympie has been full of Goldrush Celebrations. Saturday 16th October saw our Gympie Members, pictured, walking down Mary Street in an amazing Street Parade, celebrating the 159th anniversary of the discovery of gold in Gympie. James Nash found GOLD in 1867 and this windfall saved Queensland from bankruptcy. As well as enjoying the Parade, we were able to spread the word about VIEW and the Smith Family.

At our October Luncheon Meeting the day before, we dressed up in the theme of Goldrush and were enthused by the Guest Speaker Murray. Contributing to the local community is fundamental to broadcasting our Smith Family Mission in educating children from disadvantaged backgrounds.
