- Volunteer
  As a VIEW member there are many opportunities to volunteer your time and skills to directly help and support The Smith Family and disadvantaged Australian children and their families.
- Fundraise
  VIEW members raise over $1.1 million annually for The Smith Family and sponsor more than 1,650+ Learning for Life students.
- Raise awareness and advocate
  With more than 300 clubs around Australia involving some 14,000 women from all walks of life, the collective voice of VIEW is an important aspect of the organsation's work.
- Sponsor a disadvantaged student
  Learning for Life sponsorship provides disadvantaged students with financial assistance, emotional support and access to learning and educational programs.
- Partner with VIEW
  VIEW is proud to have a wide range of community partners that support our fundraising efforts and the work of The Smith Family. We would like to thank the following companies for their ongoing support.

Adelaide Pioneer VIEW Club

First Club formed in South Australia

Adelaide Pioneer VIEW Club is proud to be Adelaide’s first VIEW Club, and hence our name, Adelaide Pioneer VIEW Club. The late Jacqui Marks from Queensland instigated the formation of Adelaide Pioneer VIEW Club and was its Inaugural President in 1999, and we were to be the forerunners of VIEW in South Australia.

In the first ten years of our Club’s formation, eleven other VIEW Clubs were formed in SA. Members of our Club often moved to assist the establishment of new Clubs.

2000 - Adelaide West VIEW and TeeTree Gully VIEW Clubs were inaugurated. The late Maxine Turnbull, a National Councillor in Victoria was responsible for this early development, assisted by Lorraine Baker.
2002 - Inauguration of Marion VIEW Club and Lorraine became the first Zone Councillor for South Australia
2003 - Inauguration of Victor Harbor and Gawler VIEW Clubs, with assistance from Margaret, a National Councillor from Victoria.
2004 - Inauguration of Adelaide City Evening VIEW Club.
2005 - First SA Development Team was established with Past National Vice President Heather coordinating. Inauguration of Adelaide Hills VIEW Club.
2006 - Inauguration of Southern Vales VIEW Club.
2007 - Inauguration of Blackwood Hills VIEW Club.
2008 - Inauguration of Holdfast Evening VIEW Club, with Helen as the Development Team Coordinator.
2009 - Sunraysia VIEW Club was inaugurated under SA VIEW leadership.

What an amazing development in S.A. in ten years! Adelaide Pioneer VIEW Club is extremely proud to have led the charge. We are sad to announce the closure of Adelaide Pioneer VIEW Club in February 2026 but we will always remain proud of all the Club achieved over 27 years, by Members, Former Members and Supporters.

February 2026 Morning High Tea Finale

The Adelaide Pioneer Support Team organised a Celebratory Morning High Tea, attended by 42 invited VIEW Members and Senior Office Bearers, Past and Present as a Finale for the Club.

Special Guests included Graham Jaeschke, former General Manger of The Smith Family S.A./N.T. and Maggie Rosslee, Community Partnerships Coordinator Remote, from The Smith Family Whyalla Office. Graham had attended Club functions for the last 17 years. The Club has developed a strong partnership with the Whyalla TSF Office, 385 Km from Adelaide, sending personal donations of items needed for their programs and families. Maggie thanked us for our donations and explained how they had been used.

VIEW National Manager, Maryanne Maher sent a message to us revealing that the Club had raised $98,116 for The Smith Family. An amazing testimony to all the fund-raising initiatives over the years!

Thirty current and former Members of the Club gathered with VIEW Member and our local parliamentarian, Cressida O’Hanlon MP Member for Dunstan, for a relaxing luncheon at The Kensi Hotel, to enjoy and renew our friendships. Below is an image of that day.

Original Banner on Show

We are very proud to have our original VIEW Banner. Leading up to our Inaugurals, VIEW Clubs used to make beautiful banners. These were tirelessly worked upon by the new Members, from materials they could source. The design was appropriate to the Club, and so our banner as seen in the photo has significant landmarks in Adelaide, being the only VIEW Club at that time in this city.

We are honoured that the creator of this banner and Inaugural Member, Rosemary is able to feature in the display with the banner which she principally worked on, with some help. The former VIEW badge is shown, along with Colonel Light overseeing his City, The Cathedral, City Hall, and the Torrens River green space.
