Abermain VIEW Club's 40th Birthday

On Wednesday June 4, 2025, Abermain VIEW Club celebrated their 40th birthday with 31 attending which included members from Branxton, Cessnock and Maitland VIEW Clubs.   Also in attendance was Angie Carroll, National Councillor for the Hunter / Central Coast and Dan Repacholi Federal Member for the Hunter.

Dan Repacholi thanked Abermain VIEW Club for the work they have done over the last 40 years and the support they have given to their Learning for Life students which is very much appreciated.

Angie Carroll congratulated Abermain on the work they have done and continue to do saying “it is a wonderful milestone to celebrate 40 years as a VIEW Club”.

We were entertained by Tara Naysmith with a variety of her Country music songs.

President Patricia gave a very interesting summary of the last 40 years, the activities they have been involved in, the fun parties they have had and some of the very interesting speakers they have had which included heavy weight boxing champion Joe Bugner and footballer Mark Hughes talking about his beanies for brain cancer fund-raiser. She also mentioned the many thousands of dollars they have raised supporting so many of their Learning for Life students.

It was such a fun day with plenty of laughter, chatter and friendship.  Abermain VIEW Club have 18 members and support three Learning for Life students.
