  VIEW members exclusively support the children’s education charity, The Smith Family.

  Every two years VIEW members vote on one or more issues of importance that will be the focus of advocacy and lobbying work for the coming years. These are called resolutions.

Get Involved
- Volunteer
  As a VIEW member there are many opportunities to volunteer your time and skills to directly help and support The Smith Family and disadvantaged Australian children and their families.
- Fundraise
  VIEW members raise over $1.1 million annually for The Smith Family and sponsor more than 1,650+ Learning for Life students.
- Raise awareness and advocate
  With more than 300 clubs around Australia involving some 14,000 women from all walks of life, the collective voice of VIEW is an important aspect of the organsation's work.
- Sponsor a disadvantaged student
  Learning for Life sponsorship provides disadvantaged students with financial assistance, emotional support and access to learning and educational programs.
- Partner with VIEW
  VIEW is proud to have a wide range of community partners that support our fundraising efforts and the work of The Smith Family. We would like to thank the following companies for their ongoing support.

Cessnock VIEW Club

About

Cessnock VIEW Club was formed in 1965.

Currently, the Club sponsors seven Smith Family Learning for Life students and is actively involved in fundraising activities to raise donations for The Smith Family programs. We are the largest women club in our area, and love promoting VIEW in our community

We have our monthly luncheons and invite interesting guest speakers. We have outings on the 4th Thursday of each month, enjoy our friendship as well as visiting various locations in the Hunter Valley region.

We are always open to new members, so please get in touch today and come and see what it's all about.

Christmas Celebrations in November 2025

Our Club ended the year with a wonderful Christmas Luncheon enjoyed by members and many guests.

60th Birthday Celebrations in 2025

In June this year, Members were honoured to celebrate a wonderful milestone of our 60th Birthday.

It was a marvellous day, and we welcomed over 100 members and guests which included local dignitaries, Smith Family representative Teresa Clark, National Councillor Angie Carroll, members from other NA clubs plus friends and family.

Our theme was a Winter Wonderland because at the time of our first meeting, back in 1965, we actually experienced the first recorded snowfall around Cessnock. We were entertained by two fabulous performers and enjoyed a digital photo display highlighting 60 years’ worth of memories.
