Fashion Parade in June

Spirits were high at the beginning of June when our Club held its annual fashion parade at the Aspley Hornets Football Club in Carseldine.

Members enjoyed a delicious morning tea and an exciting cent auction while watching fellow members showcase a variety of on-trend clothing. But best of all, every garment purchased contributed a percentage of proceeds directly to the Brendale's nine Learning for Life sponsored students.

Visiting Tamworth in 2026

In the early part of February one of the Members, Kris, travelled to Tamworth for the Golden Guitar Awards Festival.

Kris decided to make this event one to remember by wearing her purple VIEW hat everywhere to promote VIEW and also to keep the sun off.

It was on one of her many walks down town that she came across a busker duo, Lucy and Sharron who go by the name of, Diamonds and Rust. Lucy and Sharron gave Kris a chance to show-off her guitar skills.

Fun In The Park in 2025

The sun was shinning for the many members of our Club as they came along to the Strathpine Park for a social day out.

Members bought along a plate to share to add to their tea and coffee, and as the morning warmed up it was time for the games. The Bean bag Toss was a tie with Helen Z. and Helen H. in one team and Suzanne W. It was then time for the thong throw, and the ladies tried their hardest to beat the other, however it was decided that Christine V. was the winner.

A fun day had by all.
