February 2026 Birthday Celebrations

February was a very special month for our Members as they partied in their black, white and bling to celebrate our Club's 27th Birthday. The room was decked out with tables dressed in black and white, along with balloons and a birthday banner, which gave an atmosphere of what was to come.

Two of our members Trish R. and Lynn T. were given the honour to be the hostesses to welcome in all the members coming along to a night of fun.

Visiting Tamworth in 2026

In the early part of February one of the Members, Kris, travelled to Tamworth for the Golden Guitar Awards Festival.

Kris decided to make this event one to remember by wearing her purple VIEW hat everywhere to promote VIEW and also to keep the sun off.

It was on one of her many walks down town that she came across a busker duo, Lucy and Sharron who go by the name of, Diamonds and Rust. Lucy and Sharron gave Kris a chance to show-off her guitar skills.

Early Christmas 2025 Celebrations

As the year is slowly coming toward the festive season the Committee members took time out to enjoy an early Christmas get together at Portabella Restaurant Albany to give a big farewell to Maragret H. as she makes a new life interstate. Margaret has been a great contributor to our Committee as Newsletter writer and assisting other Committee members.

With 2025 almost coming to an end the Committee members of Brendale VIEW are already mapping out the coming new year.

Welcoming New Members in 2025

Our executive committee gave a very warm welcome to five new members at an organised morning tea at one of the committee members home's. This morning tea was an opportunity for the new members Sue S., Susan W., Vickie S., Jenny P., and Kerry L., to meet the Committee Members, the National Councillor for our region Lyall A and Zone Councillor Judy D.

This was also a chance for Lyall and Judy to answer any questions regarding VIEW and the Smith Family to the new members.

Fun In The Park in 2025

The sun was shinning for the many members of our Club as they came along to the Strathpine Park for a social day out.

Members bought along a plate to share to add to their tea and coffee, and as the morning warmed up it was time for the games. The Bean bag Toss was a tie with Helen Z. and Helen H. in one team and Suzanne W. It was then time for the thong throw, and the ladies tried their hardest to beat the other, however it was decided that Christine V. was the winner.

A fun day had by all.

A Fun Fashion Fundraiser in July 2025

As the month of July came to a close the members and their family and friends came together at the Aspley Hornets Football Club to enjoy a fundraising afternoon of Fashion, a Cent Auction and a delicious afternoon tea.

This annual Fashion fundraising event was run by a very organised and extremely hardworking group. The event which was a day of food, fashion and fun, kicked off from the moment the members and guests came through the doors of the venue.

Warming To Winter in 2025

The weather was cold out side but it did not stop members from coming out.

It was beanies and scarves and warm smiles to the rescue as members turned up for the dinner meeting at Aspley Hornets Football Club. There was many a comment about each others interesting beanies and of course there was the matching colour themes. After all the admiration of winter warmers we then joined in for an evening of laughter and catching up with friends.

Dinner Meeting Friendship in 2025

Agatha P and Nancy L have been friends for many years so it was only fitting that they decided to make a social event meaningful.

A Winter's Evening

At the recent dinner meeting you could not get a better gathering of Members on such a cold night. The room was a buzz with the Members catching up with and exchanging their past weeks many stories. Our hostess for the night Nancy came to the rescue as she ushered us to our seats so that the night could begin.

With the Members settled our National Councillor Lyall, stepped forward to give us a power point insight into the explanation of VIEW.
