  VIEW members exclusively support the children’s education charity, The Smith Family.

  Every two years VIEW members vote on one or more issues of importance that will be the focus of advocacy and lobbying work for the coming years. These are called resolutions.

We are proud of the strong culture we have developed over 65 years of connecting women in communities across Australia to support The Smith Family and improve educational outcomes for Australian children and young people experiencing disadvantage.

Get Involved
- Volunteer
  As a VIEW member there are many opportunities to volunteer your time and skills to directly help and support The Smith Family and disadvantaged Australian children and their families.
- Fundraise
  VIEW members raise over $1.1 million annually for The Smith Family and sponsor more than 1,650+ Learning for Life students.
- Raise awareness and advocate
  With more than 300 clubs around Australia involving some 14,000 women from all walks of life, the collective voice of VIEW is an important aspect of the organsation's work.
- Sponsor a disadvantaged student
  Learning for Life sponsorship provides disadvantaged students with financial assistance, emotional support and access to learning and educational programs.
- Partner with VIEW
  VIEW is proud to have a wide range of community partners that support our fundraising efforts and the work of The Smith Family. We would like to thank the following companies for their ongoing support.
Across Australia, more than 13,000 women come together to connect, give back to their communities and help create brighter futures for young Australians. VIEW members come from all walks of life but share a common purpose: supporting education while building meaningful friendships and community connections.

Capricornia VIEW Club

About

Capricornia VIEW Club was formed in 2025.

Capriconria VIEW Club was inaugurated on 10 May 2025.

Currently the Club sponsors one Learning for Life student and is actively involved in fundraising activities to raise donations for The Smith Family Programs.

We are always open to new members, so please get in touch today and come and see what it's all about.

Club News

First Anniversary Celebrations in 2026

Our Club was both excited and proud, to celebrate our first 12 months as a club. The theme was Beach and Bulls to reflect the areas lifestyle and was held at our new venue, Benevolent Living in Rockhampton, who also did the magnificent catering

We were fortunate to have special guests, Michelle Landry- MP for Capricornia, Nigel Hutton-MP for Keppel, Toni-Lee Munro- Zone Councillor, Rebecca Smith from TSF and Petronella Callaghan-from Bundaberg VIEW, who contributed with talks around VIEW, The Smith Family, Volunteering and the purpose of clubs. The QLD Development committee were acknowledged for their commitment and dedication in establishing our new club.

Our Members have been exceptional in their ability to welcome everyone, raise funds and have fun. At this stage we are sponsoring one student which is very exciting. A huge thank you to the committee who have been outstanding in the way they have conducted themselves in such a professional manner throughout the year

Entertainment was provided by Oscha and Darcy, a relative and friend of our member Judy. The delicious cake was made and donated by our member Dembra’s daughter. We are very grateful to everyone’s contribution in making the event special.

Capricornia VIEW Club will be conducting a sausage sizzle at Bunnings in Rockhampton, Sunday 12^th April

With Sunday 12th being the start of anti-poverty week, it was so fitting for our Saturday meeting guest speaker to be Roylene Robinson from Moo & Coo - the community shop of Care and Share Rockhampton Inc.

Such an inspirational lady sharing with us the many ways the organisation supports those in need in our community
