Get Involved
- Volunteer
  As a VIEW member there are many opportunities to volunteer your time and skills to directly help and support The Smith Family and disadvantaged Australian children and their families.
- Fundraise
  VIEW members raise over $1.1 million annually for The Smith Family and sponsor more than 1,650+ Learning for Life students.
- Raise awareness and advocate
  With more than 300 clubs around Australia involving some 14,000 women from all walks of life, the collective voice of VIEW is an important aspect of the organsation's work.
- Sponsor a disadvantaged student
  Learning for Life sponsorship provides disadvantaged students with financial assistance, emotional support and access to learning and educational programs.
- Partner with VIEW
  VIEW is proud to have a wide range of community partners that support our fundraising efforts and the work of The Smith Family. We would like to thank the following companies for their ongoing support.
Across Australia, more than 13,000 women come together to connect, give back to their communities and help create brighter futures for young Australians. Sunraysia VIEW Club

About

Sunraysia VIEW Club was formed in 2009.

Currently, the Club sponsors six Smith Family Learning for Life students and is actively involved in fundraising activities to raise donations for The Smith Family programs.

We are always open to new members, so please get in touch today and come and see what it's all about.

Meet Our 2026 Committee

Sunraysia View Club held their AGM in February.

The meeting was well attended with the 2026 committee being:
President: Lorraine A; V. President: Kay P; Treasurer: Anne G; Programme Officer: Liz H; LFL students: Dee S; Newsletter: Dee S and Committee: Gail P.

17th Birthday Celebrations in 2026

Members celebrated our Club's 17th Birthday on Friday August 21st. The Theme for the day was Ladies in Pink, Pearls and Tiaras.

Special guest was Zone Councillor, Judy, who gave a short talk on her entrance into VIEW and spent time talking with members.

Celebrations commenced at 11.30 where we were entertained by the CWA Choir and Friends a group of mature ladies who had beautiful voices, even bringing a couple of our members to tears. The RSL once again provided us with a delicious lunch and a Lemon Torte, donated by Patsy was served in place of the usual birthday cake.

The tables were decorated using the pink theme. Members dressed in Pink, Pearls and Tiaras, adding a lot of colour to the room.

Birthday Celebrations in 2026

There was a lot of chatter amongst our Members….all enjoying catching up with friends and trying to guess the “wedding photos:” of all committee members.

All in all, another great day for Sunraysia VIEW, with many thanks to our talented organisers, pictured.

Murray River Cruise 2026 Part 1

What a gorgeous winter’s morning for our Murray River Cruise!

A big thank you to our ever‑energetic Programs Officer Liz for organising such a lovely day.

We boarded at 9.30am and enjoyed hot drinks, morning tea, and plenty of cheerful chatter — so much that the skipper’s commentary sometimes struggled to compete.

Murray River Cruise 2026 Part 3

Our 1.5‑hour cruise stretched to two hours thanks to a little timetable mix‑up, but no one complained. A delicious finger‑food lunch rounded off the outing perfectly.

Celebrating VIEW in 2025

Our Club had a most enjoyable day, celebrating their 16th Birthday along with 65 years of VIEW.

Members had the task of identifying which baby photo belonged to which committee member…..caused a lot of interest, but only succeeded when each committee person involved gave a hint!!!. And Members were asked to bring a piece of jewellery that had some sentimental meaning. It was most interesting to hear stories, with some of the jewellery going back 140 plus years.

Our birthday celebrations commenced with two of our Members, June and Jenny, who can be seen in the accompanying photo, keeping us entertained with a most enjoyable vocal, Crazy, followed by some amusing skits. We are lucky to have such talented ladies as our members.
