About
With 90 Members our club is dedicated to making a difference in the lives of young Australians in need. We are passionate about giving back. We raise vital funds for The Smith Family and currently sponsor 12 students through their Learning for Life Program. Every third Monday we enjoy a delightful lunch followed by an inspiring speaker.

Meet Our 2025 Committee


July 2025
Michael Johnson spoke to our members about his life and passion for bees. He also brought along many items to tempt us to open our purses and take home some "treasures" to share with family".

June 2025
Our June speaker was Chris Hodson (pictured in the centre) from The 1812 Theatre who talked about his involvement with the Theatre and the surrounding community, upcoming shows and how people can be involved as volunteers.

May 2025
At our May meeting U & I Fashions presented their Winter Collection with the help of four of our members modelling U&I's range of clothing on offer. Many members purchased garments which were available to try on that day - it is so easy to spend money - just bring your card and forget about the bill which will arrive in the mail!!!!

Ladies Who Lunch
On 3rd April thirty-two of our members enjoyed lunch together at Riversdale Golf Club.

April 2025
In April Members enjoyed lunch at Riversdale Golf Club, and our guest speaker was Nina Fromhold, who can be seen in the accompanying photo, on her subject Preserving Family Stories.

Easter 2025 Raffles
Our Easter Raffle was conducted in April. Gayle can be seen in the accompanying photo with the great prizes.

March 2025
Our guest speaker for the March meeting was Cathy Farrell and her subject Youth Offending and Child Protection. Very interesting speaker.

International Women's Day 2025
On 3rd March our Members met with residents of Victoria Grange Retirement Village to celebrate International Women’s Day with a lovely Devonshire Tea. Some of our Members who also live at Victoria Grange helped with the preparation and serving of the scones and tea and coffee which was enjoyed by all present.
Guest speaker for this occasion was Jane Phipps. who can be seen in the accompanying photo along with the wonderful helpers.
Christmas 2024 Celebrations
Raffles
At our December meeting the Christmas Raffles raised $407.45 from the twenty-two prizes beautifully presented by Gayle.

Trading Table
It was announced at the December meeting that the Trading Table organisers had raised $4,268.65 during 2024. A big thank you to everyone. This money will certainly help towards supporting our 12 Learning for Life Students. Thank you to our Members for their support.

Christmas Entertainment
Our entertainer Bella (mother of our Member Elly) presented a medley of Christmas favourites to get us in the spirit.
An enjoyable day to end the year.
November 2024 Make Bake or Grow
Our annual Make Bake & Grow Auction was a great success raising $1604.00 plus donations of $200.00 making a grand total of $1804.00 for the day.
This money will certainly help towards supporting our 12 Learning for Life Students. Thank you to our Members for their support.

October 2024 Guest Speaker
Arthur Hollingsworth (husband of one of our Members) spoke of his interest in the life of Sir John Monash. He showed us through his slide show and address the many facets of Sir John's life.
As most of our Members live, or did live in Monash, we found Arthur's presentation very interesting.

September 2024

2024 September Visit To Tulips Farm
On Thursday 19 September our VIEW Club members joined members from Glen Waverley Ladies Probus Club to visit Tesselaars Tulip Farm during their Spring Fever Festival.
Weather was not on our side (drizzling rain) and very muddy underfoot but we still enjoyed the spectacular display of beds of tulips.
We joined together to sample a variety of different foods on offer for lunch.

Celebrating 40 Years of VIEW at Waverley in 2024
Members celebrated their Club's 40th Birthday in August. The meeting was very well attended with Members from other VIEW clubs joining in the fun of the day. The theme was Let’s get Wild and celebrate 40 years. Thank you also to Gayle for our table centres, chocolate give-aways and the presentation of our 37 raffle prizes.
The local State MP for Glen Waverley District, John Mullahy, National Councillor Hazel and our Zone Councillor Anne were also in attendance. Over the past 40 years our Club has raised $324,521 for The Smith Family to support our Learning for Life Students and other Smith Family projects.
