Community connection front and centre at Busselton Health Campus (2025)

A new painting is brightening the walls of WA Country Health Service’s Busselton Health Campus - enhancing community connection and supporting the wellbeing of staff, patients, and visitors.
Designed and drawn on stretched canvas by local artist Carmen McFaull, the painting was gifted to the Capes VIEW Club as a way of raising funds to support The Smith Family’s Learning for Life Program.
With a focus on community, Busselton Health Campus was selected to permanently display the piece in recognition of the support and high-quality care the hospital provides.
Displayed prominently in the main corridor, the brightly coloured artwork is inviting and welcoming, giving a sense of calm to one of the hospital’s main areas. Acting Executive Director South West Jodie Omodei said the donation is a welcome addition to the hospital.
“Art plays an important role at Busselton Health Campus. We recognise the role art plays in connecting to our community and supporting wellbeing and recovery,” she said.
“This new artwork will be displayed front and centre at the hospital and is a welcome addition for all staff, patients, and visitors at the hospital. We are incredibly appreciative of the donation and time taken to create this beautiful work.
President Capes VIEW Club Anne Russell-Brown said it was humbling to bring the community together through art.
“Capes VIEW members are delighted that this work - which was created through community coming together to express their connection through art - is on permanent display for the people of Busselton.”
