Get Involved
- Volunteer
  As a VIEW member there are many opportunities to volunteer your time and skills to directly help and support The Smith Family and disadvantaged Australian children and their families.
- Fundraise
  VIEW members raise over $1.1 million annually for The Smith Family and sponsor more than 1,650+ Learning for Life students.
- Raise awareness and advocate
  With more than 300 clubs around Australia involving some 14,000 women from all walks of life, the collective voice of VIEW is an important aspect of the organsation's work.
- Sponsor a disadvantaged student
  Learning for Life sponsorship provides disadvantaged students with financial assistance, emotional support and access to learning and educational programs.
- Partner with VIEW
  VIEW is proud to have a wide range of community partners that support our fundraising efforts and the work of The Smith Family. We would like to thank the following companies for their ongoing support.

National President's Award 2024-25

26 September 2025

This award recognises excellent voluntary service within VIEW and/or The Smith Family in the past 12-24 months by a VIEW member or VIEW Club, who has volunteered work over and above an elected office bearer role Or a woman who, in the opinion of the National President, has made a significant impact in advancing the VIEW organisation and its members during the past two years.

And The winner for 2024-25 is

Mary Deakin from Western Australia

Mary’s significant achievements

Mary joined Mordialloc-Chelsea VIEW Club in Victoria in 1991 as the mother of one of her friends was a member and they both decided to join as 30 year olds... She was a member for 26 years of that club.

Mary moved to South West Region of WA in 2019 and found Capes VIEW Club – in Dunsborough becoming the Treasurer in 2020 and became the President 2021-22.

In 2023 Mary was appointed to the Zone Councillor, WA role. As well as her Zone Councillor role of supporting, encouraging and inspiring the members of WA clubs, Mary also took on the role as chair of WA Development team.

Living in the South West Region, Mary saw that there was an opportunity to form another club in the area and then set out to establish a new club in Busselton. Starting a new Club often only takes one or two people – with the passion, drive and interest to begin to investigate the prospect and viability of a VIEW Club.

With the first interest meeting in February 2024 the club opened in record time of 5 months in July 2024. Now Busselton VIEW Club is fully functional with 40 members and they support 1 student on the Learning for Life program and I understand celebrated their first birthday in July.
