NSW Governor Celebrates 65 years of VIEW

Happy 65th Anniversary to VIEW Clubs!
On a glorious sunny Autumn afternoon, 100 VIEW members joined the Governor of New South Wales, Her Excellency, the Honourable Margaret Beazley AC KC and her husband Mr Wilson to launch our 65th anniversary year at NSW Government House.
Her Excellency toasted the success of VIEW and invited VIEW National President, Elizabeth Birch and VIEW National Manager, Maryanne Maher to join her to cut the cake.
Following the formalities, VIEW members were invited to wander the rooms and gardens of the beautiful house while listening to Royal Australian Navy woodwind trio and enjoying savoury canapés and petite cakes, champagne, tea and coffee.
Her Excellency was a delightful host, mingling and chatting with members - making it a very special afternoon. The Governor’s speech resonated with the large VIEW audience of almost 100 VIEW Club members from Sydney and surrounds. The Governor spoke of the strength and support of VIEW through the past six decades for The Smith Family with the transitioning from welfare services to supporting and making a difference to the education of Australian children.
All guests thoroughly enjoyed themselves! What a fabulous way to launch our Blue Sapphire anniversary year of celebrations.
