  Every two years VIEW members vote on one or more issues of importance that will be the focus of advocacy and lobbying work for the coming years. These are called resolutions.

Get Involved
- Volunteer
  As a VIEW member there are many opportunities to volunteer your time and skills to directly help and support The Smith Family and disadvantaged Australian children and their families.
- Fundraise
  VIEW members raise over $1.1 million annually for The Smith Family and sponsor more than 1,650+ Learning for Life students.
- Raise awareness and advocate
  With more than 300 clubs around Australia involving some 14,000 women from all walks of life, the collective voice of VIEW is an important aspect of the organsation's work.
- Sponsor a disadvantaged student
  Learning for Life sponsorship provides disadvantaged students with financial assistance, emotional support and access to learning and educational programs.
- Partner with VIEW
  VIEW is proud to have a wide range of community partners that support our fundraising efforts and the work of The Smith Family. We would like to thank the following companies for their ongoing support.

What's New!

For 2027, we are delighted to announce that all Convention events will be held in the same stunning location with breathtaking waterfront views:

Nyaal Banyul Geelong Convention and Event Centre.

We have combined the two smaller Friday night social dinners into one magnificent themed fun night – All aboard the Love Boat and on Saturday convention attendees can look forward to an amazing night of extravagance, elegance and entertainment at our spectacular Under the Southern Stars Gala dinner.

National Convention commences by recognising and celebrating VIEW Club's unique achievements!

Hear from a special panel featuring Smith Family senior leadership and local team members as well as alumni from the Learning for Life program highlighting how VIEW Clubs’ support enables students to remain engaged in their education and empowers them to grow and succeed—academically, personally, and professionally.
Be inspired by exceptional Australians - hearing from a broad range of local Victorians speaking about their interesting life journeys and accomplishments. (Speakers to be announced in 2027).
Celebrate all things VIEW with the presentation of the George Forbes and National President's awards, as well as the VIEW National President's address covering the highlights of our organisation over the past two years.
And a few surprises along the way..

Friday Night Social Dinner

The Voice of VIEW Be part of our National Resolutions where VIEW members come together to raise their voices on issues of national importance and explore shared interests.
George Forbes Oration Hear from a prominent Australian, details to be announced in 2027!
Writers' Festival Enjoy listening to a panel of local authors and experience the transformative power of story telling as they connect with you as readers. A bookseller will be available for you to buy your favourite book/s and have them personally signed by the authors.
Announcements Be the first to hear the exciting news of the VIEW National Executive for 2028-29 and the location of National Convention 2029.

Saturday Night Gala Dinner

Gala dinner is the shining star of every VIEW National Convention and this year will be no exception!

Thursday Night | National President's Dinner

Thursday 2 September 2027 | 7pm - 10pm | $110

Crowne Plaza Geelong

Open only to past and present National Executive, National Councillors and Zone Councillors, or by invitation.

An intimate and sophisticated dinner for VIEW leaders of the past and present to connect and catch up with friends and fellow senior officers. Join VIEW National President 2026-27 Lorraine Thomson for a drink on arrival followed by an elegant dinner and conversation with friends.

Community Walk with VIEW

Sunday 5 September 2027 | 10:00am - 11:30am
Meet at Nyaal Banyul main entrance

Join us for the final event of VIEW National Convention 2027 as we stroll along the Geelong esplanade - the scenic waterfront of Corio Bay with members of local Geelong VIEW clubs as our guides. Along the way we will see the iconic Geelong Bollards, commissioned in the 1980's to repurpose old timbers from a city pier and the beautifully restored steam-driven hand-carved wooden Carousel built in 1892 as we make our way to the Eastern Beach Sea Baths and the Geelong Botanic Gardens.
