Get Involved
- Volunteer
  As a VIEW member there are many opportunities to volunteer your time and skills to directly help and support The Smith Family and disadvantaged Australian children and their families.
- Fundraise
  VIEW members raise over $1.1 million annually for The Smith Family and sponsor more than 1,650+ Learning for Life students.
- Raise awareness and advocate
  With more than 300 clubs around Australia involving some 14,000 women from all walks of life, the collective voice of VIEW is an important aspect of the organsation's work.
- Sponsor a disadvantaged student
  Learning for Life sponsorship provides disadvantaged students with financial assistance, emotional support and access to learning and educational programs.
- Partner with VIEW
  VIEW is proud to have a wide range of community partners that support our fundraising efforts and the work of The Smith Family. We would like to thank the following companies for their ongoing support.

Getting to Geelong

We are really excited to be back in Victoria and experiencing Geelong, nestled on the shores of Corio Bay. Geelong is the second largest city in Victoria rich in history, culture, and natural beauty. From its charming streets lined with historic buildings to its stunning beaches and parklands, Geelong has something to offer everyone.

Geelong is where the coast meets the countryside, with a thriving cultural centre at its heart. Conveniently located 70km from Melbourne and just 20km from the start of the Great Ocean Road in Torquay. Geelong is easily accessible from your choice of two airports, an easy drive from Melbourne, well connected by rail, home to two ferry ports and makes a great starting (or finishing) point for a Great Ocean Road adventure.

Gather a group of VIEW friends and make a road trip of it, take the train together, or share accommodation for even more fun.

Travel by Air:

Tullamarine (Melbourne) Airport

Melbourne Tullamarine Airport is connected directly to Geelong by the Gull Bus Airport Service. Your booking includes luggage storage under the coach, getting on and off the bus is convenient, easy and comfortable!

Avalon Airport

Avalon Airport is just 25 minutes from Geelong, with direct Jetstar flights from Sydney, the Gold Coast, Adelaide and Brisbane. Transfers are available via MyBus Geelong, Little Avalon Transfers, Uber, or taxi.

Travel by Rail:

V/Line trains run frequently between Melbourne’s Southern Cross Station and Geelong, the spacious carriages have comfortable seats and plenty of room for luggage storage providing a convenient way to travel.

Services also connect Warrnambool to Geelong, making it easy to explore the surrounding areas.
Travel by Road:

Geelong is an easy one-hour drive west of Melbourne along the Princes Freeway and just 20 kilometres from the start of the Great Ocean Road in Torquay, making it the perfect starting or ending point for a Great Ocean Road trip!
Travel by Sea:

Travel by ferry and enjoy a scenic journey to Geelong and The Bellarine. Searoad Ferries offers a 40-minute service for cars and foot passengers between Sorrento and Queenscliff.

For an extended adventure, sail overnight from Tasmania to Geelong on the Spirit of Tasmania, with both overnight and seasonal daytime crossings.
