Pink October 2025
Our October Meeting was extremely well attended and the room was a sea of pink in a show of support for all the people living with Breast Cancer!
We were entertained and educated by Kate Grainger, from local Breast Cancer Support group, the Shitty Titty Committee. Kate spoke passionately of her personal experience of suffering a breast cancer diagnosis, whilst pregnant in her 30’s, and also shared the stories of some of the beautiful/brave friends that she has made during her journey of recovery.

September 2025
At our September Meeting we welcomed one new member and 7 guests and learned we had signed up for our second Learning for Life child. When asked, many members enthusiastically volunteered to be buddies to assist our guests at future meetings.
Our guest speaker, Gizelle Salame a local Dance and Movement Therapist, spoke on how dance and movement can be used to invoke empathy and connection and then put a smile on all our faces when she persuaded everyone to join in some interactive dance moves.

August 2025
Despite the wintery weather our August Meeting was well attended by members and we welcomed 6 new guests. Everyone was incredibly impressed by the raw stories told by our very own Barb (pictured) of how she managed to bring up a family whilst having a 66-year career in the legal profession.
The bring and buy table again proved popular and the meeting finished on a high note with the announcement that we now had enough in our coffers to start sponsoring our second child.

Members met on 15th May for our Mother’s Day meeting where we welcomed 12 guests. Melbourne Cup Celebrations in November 2024
Members were dressed to kill when they met at a member’s home to celebrate the Melbourne Cup. Food was in abundance as we all brought a plate; and maybe a different approach may have to be taken next year to prevent over catering.
Maria won the prize for best hat with an amazing home-made number that was constructed from the racing pages in the newspaper.
