Currently, the Club sponsors ten Smith Family Learning for Life students and is actively involved in fundraising activities to raise donations for The Smith Family programs.
We are always open to new members, so please get in touch today and come and see what it's all about.

March 2026 Meeting
The guest speaker was Janice who we affectionately call the lighthouse lady.
She is equally as passionate about the history of the wedding dress as she is about lighthouses. Members brought along their wedding photos as well as some well-preserved gowns.

February 2026 AGM
We had a big turn-out for our Annual General Meeting and it was lovely to meet prospective new members and look around the room to see friends catching up on their news. It was of course time to elect our new committee for the year.
Thank you and congratulations to those elected for your ongoing commitment to our wonderful club of over 90 Members. The position of Delegate will be confirmed next month.

November
This month our guest speaker was Jo Pearson, a very creative and talented milliner who brought along some of her fabulous hats.
December
We held our annual Christmas party at Eagle Ridge. A record 64 Members sat at tables decorated with centre pieces made by the Wednesday Craft group.
We puzzled over Janet’s Christmas quiz and Mandy’s Emoji quiz.
A delicious two-course Christmas lunch of roast meats, vegies and plum pudding was prepared and served by the Eagle Ridge staff.

October 2025 Activities
Monthly Meeting
At the monthly meeting we present a bag of sweets to the birthday girls for the month and take their photo for the newsletter.

Garden Party
On Thursday October 23 we celebrated our third Spring Garden Party at Jude’s lovely home in McCrae.
Sixty plus members dressed up in florals and enjoyed a glass of champagne and sumptuous food. Special thanks to Jude and the hard-working committee for making the day such a great success.
Soiree
On Friday 17th October we held the regular monthly soiree at Robyn B’s home. It’s BYO drinks and a plate of nibbles to share with good company.

Monthly Meeting
On Thursday 11th September our Members were entertained and enlightened by guest speaker, Janice Hayes who spoke about the History of Light-Houses particularly in Victoria and Tasmania.

Bunnings BBQ Fundraiser
Girls Night Out
On the 25th of September at the Girls’ Night Out, the ladies sampled the delicious dumplings at Owen’s Dumplings in Rosebud.
The owners said we were very polite, well-behaved and welcome back anytime. Not noisy!!
Hastings 17th Birthday Celebrations
A good number of our members helped Hastings Club celebrate their birthday, with VIEW's 65th theme of Blue Sapphires as can be seen by Shelley's shoes.
August 2025 Activities
August Meeting
On Thursday 14th August our Club met and Members thoroughly enjoyed Andrea McCall’s debunking of some of the myths about Shakespeare.

August 2025 Ferry Outing
On the 20th August a dozen or so members ventured across the bay to Queenscliff on the ferry. The weather was perfect.
Girls Night Out in August 2025
On the 28th August the Girls’ Night Out ladies once again savoured the Chinese food at Jade Court.
Craft and Wellbeing Group
Fabric flower brooches were created by the craft group.
July 2025 Activities
General Meeting
Thursday 10th July our Club met at Eagle Ridge. The guest speakers, Samantha and Vanessa from the Bendigo Bank, gave an interesting talk on the safeguards the bank uses to keep our funds safe from fraud and hackers.
The accompanying photos show July was another busy month including our soiree, craft wellbeing afternoon, and outings to Moonah Links and the coffee get together at Flocks Cafe.
Special Event
The Annual Three Clubs’ Luncheon was held on Wednesday 30th July to celebrate International Friendship Day.
Over 90 members from Mornington, Hastings and Southern Peninsula clubs enjoyed a 2-course lunch, trivia and a Mornington Peninsula themed puzzle.
The Trading Table and raffles were well supported and raised funds to support our sponsored children.

Luncheon Meeting Speaker
Thursday 12th June Southern Peninsula VIEW club met and were thoroughly engaged by our guest speaker Faye Plamka. We were spellbound by her lifelike drawings and experiences from her years as a courtroom illustrator.

Monday 7th April a group of our Members met at Blackthorne Cafe Dromana for the twice monthly Connect@Coffee gatherings.

General Meeting
At our April meeting we welcomed Member Laila who spoke about her Norwegian heritage in particular the national costume which she wore as can be seen in the photo, and Rosemaling.
Rosemaling is a traditional Norwegian folk art form involving decorative painting, typically on wood, featuring stylized floral and scrollwork designs.
Member Lunch
Monday 14th April a group of Members met for lunch at PU17 café Rye, where they enjoyed the continuation of the fabulous autumn weather by the beach.
