- Time Commitment: Minimum 3hs – maximum 16hrs per week – ideally with a 6mth commitment. Please note: our heaviest workload is generally between January and September.
Program and Scholarship Administration team is a combination of paid team members and volunteers based virtually who support administrative aspects of the Learning for Life Scholarship and suite of programs.
The Administration & Customer Service volunteers provide digital administration support and participate primarily in processing scholarship documents, data entry and child protection and privacy checks for various Learning for Life teams and programs.
Through this role, volunteers provide critical background support for the educational and social development of young Australians to succeed at school, so they can create better futures for themselves.
Key Tasks & Activities:
- Enter and manage important data using SharePoint and The Smith Family’s CRM database.
- Assist with the processing of scholarship documents.
- Undertake data entry.
- Conduct child protection and privacy checks for various Learning for Life teams and programs.
Skills, experience, education, attributes
- Strong computer skills including database management and using current Microsoft Office programs
- Highly effective customer service and interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication skills, both spoken and written
- High level of attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and work to tight deadlines
- Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment
- Experience in a similar position providing administrative (including digital admin) functions within a professional and confidential environment
- Awareness of the community and education services sector and issues affecting disadvantaged people is desirable but not essential.
