Research and evidence-based practice underpins all our work.
It enables us to be innovative, responsive and relevant. It ensures we develop and deliver programs and support that respond effectively and efficiently to the needs of the disadvantaged children, young people, families and communities we help.
Research and evaluation helps us to measure the outcomes and assess the effectiveness of our support and programs. Evaluation and regular reporting also drive continual improvement across the organisation.
Our role in advocacy closely relates to the research we do and our work with children, young people, families and communities across Australia. Whether it’s a submission to government on education reform or a report about the impact of sporting and cultural opportunities on a child’s development, we actively advocate on behalf of disadvantaged children and young people to ensure that their voices are heard and their needs met.
