The Smith Family Employer Statement 2024-25
The Smith Family is committed to gender equality and complies with the Workplace Gender Equality Act 2012 and submits annual reporting to the Workplace Gender Equality Agency (WGEA).
For the 2024-25 reporting period, The Smith Family recorded a mean gender pay gap of 15.01% and a median gender pay gap of 14.3%, representing an improvement from the previous period (mean 18.53%, median 15.43%). This reduction reflects outcomes from workforce pay adjustments, including a recent Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services (SCHADS) Award review, and strengthened diversity, equity and inclusion policy and practice.
While 70% of senior leadership and above roles are held by women, exceeding our target of 50%, we recognise that further action is required to continue reducing the gender pay gap. This includes biannual gender pay equity analysis with outcomes reported to the Board.
Our Executive Team and Board of Directors are committed to continuous improvement and accountability, with clear oversight to support meaningful and sustained workplace progress.
