Semester 2 - a fresh start!
As we begin the second half of the year, your child may not feel as excited about school. That’s completely normal. A new term is a great chance for a fresh start!

Keeping your details updated is important, so you don’t miss information or special offers from us. We have changed My Smith Family to help you easily update your details.
Log in to My Smith Family and:
- Complete any sections marked with the "Please update" symbol, as shown above.
- Edit any incorrect information e.g. if your home address has changed.
It only takes a few minutes to update your details online! This information helps us understand your family and provide better support.

This year’s theme, The Next Generation: Strength, Vision & Legacy, celebrates the achievements of the past and the bright future ahead, empowered by the strength of our young leaders, the vision of our communities and the legacy of our ancestors.
NAIDOC week is a great opportunity to learn with your child about Aboriginal and/ or Torres Strait Islander culture. Here are some ways you can explore together:
- Print the NAIDOC Week colouring in poster.
- Attend a local NAIDOC week event. Many places have free NAIDOC Family Fun Days.
- Listen to music by Aboriginal and/ or Torres Strait Islander artists.
- Read a book by an Aboriginal and/ or Torres Strait Islander author. Many local libraries have a section dedicated to Aboriginal and/ or Torres Strait Islander authors.

We are looking for a group of Learning for Life families to provide feedback about My Smith Family over a 6-month period.
During this time, you'll have the opportunity to participate in surveys, interviews and online activities to help us improve the digital experience for all Learning for Life families.
