Kathy volunteers to show kids in need that others care
One person really can make a difference. And last year, 8,323 individuals had a huge impact as Smith Family volunteers. Kathy was one of them. She began donating to help disadvantaged students as soon as she finished uni.
Former Learning for Life student gives back
“My family came to Australia in 1992 … El Salvador at the time was in the middle of civil war. We literally came with what we could carry on the plane and that’s pretty much it,” said Erick.
Marg thinks volunteering is an extraordinary experience
As a Corporate Responsibility Manager, Marg knows the importance of giving back. When she learned that she could volunteer to help disadvantaged students in Years 9 to 11 by becoming a mentor, she jumped at the chance. That was four years ago. And seeing the positive shifts in students keeps Marg coming back.
