Thanks to the generosity of our partners and supporters, we provide educational support to young Australians impacted by poverty – empowering them to harness education and build skills to unlock their true potential. The long-term support we provide is our commitment to each child’s future, and it’s based on research and best practice.
We work in partnership with 799 schools, and last year, more than 162,000 children and young people participated in our programs in 91 communities across Australia.

We’re committed to making the most of every single dollar we receive, ensuring the best use of the funds you entrust to us. In the five years to June 2023, 72% of donations from our supporters went straight into our community programs – allowing us to provide the most impactful programs for children and young people around Australia.
This allocation is just one measure of our effectiveness. Another critical dimension is the positive impact our investment in resources and activities has in supporting our long-term program outcomes and sustainability.
We benefit from 5,162 committed volunteers who support our work in every State and Territory, collectively donating 108,341 hours of their time. In 2022-23, the value of this support was around $3.4 million. We also have a number of partners whose pro-bono contributions and in-kind donations significantly reduce our costs.
